Toronto Star - Test Kitchen
Next, we were off to the Toronto Star...straight to their test kitchen. Chef prepared a stuffed veal chop while being interviewed...check it out in this week's Life section of the Toronto Star.
When asked what he will be doing in South Africa, Chef answers "I'll be bringing a little Canadiana with me".

Chef Rainford and Dina Pugliese
Dina and the Chef smile for the camera. Chef Rainford makes it look so simple...stuffing a veal chop, wrapping it in bacon...voila the end product was oh so yummy!
Chef Rainford - All Smiles
Chef Rainford is all smiles as he waits for the countdown...three...two...one...
Salivating fans wait patiently as the Chef prepares a stuffed veal loin, adapting the Rainford method...what is the Rainford method? It's taking what may appear to be a complex recipe and breaking it down by each ingredient - simplifying the complexity.

Voila! Here is Chef Rainford with the finished product. Crispy bacon on the outside wraps this pork loin locking in the juices.

LIVE from Breakfast Television in Vancouver
Chef Rainford shows Dawn how to butterfly a pork loin, season it on both sides, stuff it with sauteed shallots and mushrooms then layer it with fresh baby spinach, followed by a bacon wrap. Then it's off to the oven to roast.
The studio smells divine! Love the smell of bacon.

The Green Room
OMG there really is a Green Room albeit the room is not really green, but this is where we 'hang out'. Tom MacLean from Collette Vacations, hanging out with me in the Green room (he doesn't waste a minute...already making very important deals before 8am). Before they call 'action' it's off to hair and make-up.
